PRAY FOR OUR NATION

Dear friends of Charity Baptist,
We have much to thank the Lord for, our salvation, eternal life, a thousand promises and much more. However, with the hurricane season upon us and the political hurricane our nation is in, let us pray for both.
Keep the people in your prayers that have and will face the devastation of the hurricanes. At the same time, thank God for the weather we have had.

Pray for the political situation in our land. Congress is doing nothing. And pray and ask God to put into office those who will take God's Word seriously. Please remember that America is slowly facing God's judgment, because the nation removed God, prayer and the Bible from education, business and political life forty years ago.

Keep our services in your prayers and keep our missionaries near your hearts. I hope everyone is doing well. May the Lord add His blessings to your life.

In Christ,
Pastor

NEWSLETTER MAY 21, 2008

"EVENTS IN JUNE"

Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you have been enjoying the month of May.
God has given us some beautiful weather.
The days have been very nice and He has sent plenty of rain.
He has also given us some sweet services. Thank you for your prayers.

This is a REMINDER of what will be happening in June:

JUNE 1, 2008 is the first Sunday of the Month. We will be having a double service and we will be having some guess with us.

Daniel and Kristie Elmer will be with us in the afternoon service.
We have supported Krisite (Washer)Elmer for a number of years as a missionary. Now she has married and they will come and give their testimonies on Sunday afternoon.

** We will have a Teacher's Meeting following the service. All teachers are asked to be there. Thanks!(If you can't be there please see me for information).

JUNE 9-13 is our TEEN CAMP for the boys. They will be having a great time this year boating, fishing, camping, and learning Christian Character traits we hope they will apply to their lives.

JUNE 16-20 is BIBLE SCHOOL for all our youth. Mrs. Jennifer Taylor is heading this up and to that we say, "Thanks." Jennifer has worked in Bible Schools for many years and dos a great job. Pray that this Bible School will go great.

JUNE 23-28 is our TEEN CAMP for our girls. The girls say they had one of the best times ever last year and they learned great truths from the Bible and the Pastor's wife, Mrs. Karen. They will have a great time this year as well.

So, as you can see besides Sunday school, Sunday worship, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening, we have a lot planned for June.

I hope you will pray that all will go well.

May the Lord Bless all of you and give you a great June.

In Christ,

Pastor Shepley

I hope you will be safe as some of you do some traveling this summer.
I want to thank you for two things especially:
1 - Your Prayers: I know that God has been giving us some sweet services and unity because of your prayers. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING! Stop even now and say a prayer...
2 - Your Faithfulness: Sunday was a great day with the church full. Thanks! I know you will continue to be faithful even as summer approaches. Thanks again and again.

This Sunday is "MOTHER'S DAY". I hope the whole family will come and support mom and I hope that we will all treat mom special especially this week.

April Newsletter 2008

Dear Folks, Family and Friends of Charity Baptist Church,

It has been a month since my last short newsletter. To that I apologize. I hope this spring has been as enjoyable for you as for me. The Lord has been very good as always even in the midst of higher prices.

May I encourage you to continue to stand for truth and right in a day when it seems political correctness has taken precedent over Biblical truth.

Remember, we are pilgrims in this world. We are not of this world but we are in this world to be a light and an example of our loving Lord.

May God bless your life and your family as you seek Him first each and every day of your life.

And thank you for your faithfulness to the Church. It is a great example to more people than you will ever know.

God Bless All,

Pastor Shepley

Newsletter for March 13, 2005

Dear Folks of Charity Baptist Church,

God has been good and merciful and loving to all of us and to that we praise Him for His grace and peace.

We are looking forward to the next two weeks.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. The singing and message will center around our Lord's Triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
This Sunday night we will look at the events leading up to our Lord giving His life on Calvary.

Next Sunday is "Resurrection Sunday."
This is the greatest day of celebration for the Church as we think about that day our Lord conquered hell, death and the grave and rose victorious.

I hope you will pray for a good day and ask the Lord to meet with us in a very special way.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and faithfulness to the Church. May God honor you as you honor Him.

Love in Christ,
Pastor Shepley
